Dar es Salaam. As the finalists of Miss Tanzania 2011 contest are ready to face the stage this Saturday, several activities had been conducted to ensure their performance is well organized and successful.
Early at the beginning of this weekend, the contestants were organized to showcase fashion clothes designed by local designers from Tanzania and abroad.
Ms Rosemary kokuhilwa a famous blogger and designer from Tanzania who based in United State was among the designers who were prepared the performance of the contestants on last Friday.
Ms Kokuhilwa said that the objective of the concert organized aim at creating talents and also to cerebrate the 50 years since Tanzania got independence.
“Beauty and fashion industry is among the sectors which are used as a source of developing the national income of our country… so we should commemorate the independent through giving contestants opportunity to showcase their talents,” said kokuhilwa.
She added that the concert will give experience and confidence to face the final stage on 10th September because the activities conducted there was the same like what is needed to do when they are at the final.
The finalists of Miss Tanzania 2011 got the opportunity to wear various clothes which were expressing the different types of clothes established since 60s years up to now to see its different for 50 years.
The event had given opportunity for the local designers like Kemy Sadick known as Binti Africa, Fransisca Shirima or Frankoo and Grace Kijo to showcase their fashion talent on designing.
